Underwriter's Workbench — Build Scope

What we're building, and what comes after.

The front half of the Bluefields platform — everything upstream of the Quote Wizard. This week covers the internal workbench that production underwriters live in every day. The next push opens the platform to agents.

01
Submission Pipeline
The data backbone. Creates the entity everything else hangs off of.
  • Submissions entity + migrations
  • Product lines entity
  • Agencies + agents entities
  • App settings entity
02
The Workbench
The Kanban board + submission detail page PUs will live in every day.
  • Submissions CRUD + status transitions
  • Kanban: 6 columns, drag-drop, 30s polling
  • Submission detail page + assignment
  • Notes, activity log, versioning
03
DAIS Quoting
Request quotes from DAIS, compare them, send the best to agents.
  • DAIS API client (clients, events, cache)
  • Quote request flow + polling + timeout
  • Quote list, comparison, selection
  • Daily question cache refresh
04
Quote Wizard Bridge
Closes the loop. Agent accepts/rejects → board updates itself.
  • Inbound webhook endpoint
  • Accepted → submission moves to Won
  • Rejected → PU notified, stays at Quoted
  • Email notifications on both events
When this lands
PUs can manage their entire pipeline end-to-end, from intake through DAIS quoting to customer outcome — all from one board.
